Farmers Market, Waihi
In Waihi every Wednesday evening at Waitete Orchard car park, 31 Orchard Road.  Runs from 4pm - 6pm.

Friday/Saturday Night Skating
Waihi Events Centre, Rosemont Road, Waihi.
6 - 8.30pm and the cost is $5 (includes skates).
Come and enjoy a night of skating, with games and prizes. There's skate ramps and music too!

Karangahake Craft Market
Each Sunday from 11am to around 3pm

The Karangahake Craft Market is held in the main street of Paeroa. There's always a great variety of things on sale like fresh produce and crafts, and they have music and entertainment as well.

The Fitness League
From 9.30am, Tuesday mornings at St John Anglican Church Hall
at the top of Seddon Street, Waihi.

Waikino Market Day
At Waikino Hall on the last Sunday of each month from 9am - 1pm.  There are a great variety of things on sale, like home baking, bric a brac, crafts, collectables, books and antiques and bargains galore. To book a stall or for more info call Kay on

Waihi Beach Surf School

Date:  26th September - 8th October
Location:  Northern end of Waihi Beach

The waihi beach surf school is running 2, 3day surf course.

During the 3 days kids will learn about ocean safety and awareness, how to catch and ride waves, surfing equipment and etiquette while having a tonne of fun!
For those kids with previous surfing experience the intermediate surfing group is focused on more advanced skills such as getting out the back, turning the surfboard, duckdiving and riding across the wave.
